Want more information on Gorse Control?

Do you need an affordable way of controlling Gorse?

  • Gorse infestation on your land too big for you to control?

  • No time to effectively control your Gorse?

  • Do you know best practice control methods?

  • Don’t have equipment to carry out Gorse control?

  • Is finance a barrier to your Gorse problem?

Tylden Landcare group through the Victorian Gorse Taskforce (VGT) and the Victorian government has been allocated funding to deliver a Gorse control program with landholders in our landcare area. Gorse management is about participation, responsibility, cooperation, environmental care; and it’s about doing something.

There are conditions that go with these grants – each dollar spent by the landcare group (via the Gorse Task Force) must be matched with a dollar from the landholder i.e. a 50% discount for Gorse control works.

We will also hear from Sophie Bickford about an exciting new project “Coliban Connections” that aims to restore key habitat and connections through the region.
